1. Market Review
On December 16, the overall market price in Tianjin was stable and downward, with cold-rolled coils falling by ￥20 ton to ￥4,170 /ton, galvanized coils to ￥4,310 /ton, and color-coated coils to ￥4,900 /ton. From the market perspective, hot-rolled coil futures fluctuated and operated weakly, and spot market merchants were mainly stable and followed the decline. Merchants said that resources will arrive in the warehouse this week, but the shortage may continue. There is basically no adjustment for high-cost resources, and the transaction volume has decreased compared with the previous trading day.
2. Price difference
In terms of regional price difference, the price difference of galvanized coils between Shanghai and Tianjin narrowed by ￥10 /ton, and the price difference of galvanized coils between Guangzhou and Tianjin remained unchanged. The price difference of galvanized coils between Shanghai and Tianjin and Guangzhou and Tianjin was -￥40/ton and ￥30 /ton respectively. In terms of price difference of varieties, the price difference of galvanized coils between Tianjin and cold-rolled and between galvanized coils between Tianjin and hot-rolled both expanded by ￥20/ ton. The price difference of galvanized coils between Tianjin and cold-rolled and between galvanized coils between Tianjin and hot-rolled was ￥240 ton and ￥840 /ton respectively.
