Today, the overall market price in Tianjin remained stable, with cold-rolled coils quoted at RMB 4,100/ton, galvanized coils quoted at RMB 4,320/ton, and color-coated coils quoted at RMB 4,800/ton. In terms of the market, today’s hot-rolled coil futures market fluctuated downward, and the spot market merchants’ quotations were mainly stable. Merchants said that demand was still poor on the first day after the Lantern Festival, and there were few inquiries. There was a room for negotiation of RMB 10-20/ton for actual orders, but the overall transaction was slightly better than yesterday.
In terms of regional price differences, the price difference of galvanized coils in Shanghai-Tianjin and Guangzhou-Tianjin remained unchanged. The current price difference of galvanized coils in Shanghai-Tianjin and Guangzhou-Tianjin was -RMB 10/ton and -RMB 160/ton respectively. In terms of variety price differences, the price difference of galvanized-cold-rolled coils in Tianjin remained unchanged, and the price difference of galvanized-hot-rolled coils in Tianjin expanded by RMB 20/ton. The current price difference of galvanized-cold-rolled coils in Tianjin and galvanized-hot-rolled coils in Tianjin was RMB 280/ton and RMB 960/ton respectively.
On the whole, it is expected that the prices of cold-rolled and galvanized coils in Tianjin may fluctuate and consolidate tomorrow.
